The teacher and her students played the drums.
I remember one of the days in school i had drum and wu shu lessons. It was really fun of learning all these because in Singapore, some schools do not include these Co-Corriculum Activities ( CCAs ). All of us got the chance to participate. Although it was quite difficult for me to remember the steps of how to play the drum, but with the china student's help, i managed to play it smoothly. For the wu shu lesson, i couldn't catch up with them. So had to see how my friends did and I followed them.

The snacks.

The dishes they prepared for us.

Last day at Li Cheng Er Zhong, we had lessons until 12.45pm. And had a mini farewell party from 12.45pm to 1.30pm. Our buddies came and find us. Before we leave, we exchanged emails and telephone numbers. For memories, we had taken pictures with them. Actually, I can't bear to leave them because 5 days in school, we began to know each other well.

We had half day lessons and home-visiting after that. We were grouped into 3 to 4 person in a group. Our buddy's name is Lu Jia. We went to his house for a visit. His parents welcomed us warmly. And even told us more about China which we didnt hear from our buddies.
They taught us to make dumplings. That's my first time doing it. We enjoyed alot of fun at buddy's house. Took pictures as well.
At 5pm, we ate dinner at his house. His mother prepared many dishes for us which we can't manage to finish. His mother told us to eat more. But we were too full to eat anymore. In the end, his parents ate it for us.
While eating, we had shared our CCAs, Hobbies with one another. At 7pm, we had to rush back to school for a gathering before heading back to Tao Ran Hotel.

The 1st day of school in China, we went to Li Cheng Er Zhong and told to pair up with a buddy. Well, for me, I have Wang Bang Yue as my buddy. She is a caring girl. She explained to me about China's Past and History while I explained to her about Singapore's Past and History. China is a huge place and also damn cooling. Almost got frozen. Furthermore, we had to run for a run with the China students everyday. When you are running, you can feel cold unlike SIngapore. We were instructed to pass the souvenirs to our buddies. But never did we expect, our buddies gave us some souvenirs in return. We were touched because it was unexpected. We appreciated their gifts to us. My buddy gave me chinese knots. Each chinese knots represent different wishes.

The school fields

During this trip, we have been to Tai Shan, the Mountain Tai. We had climbed many stairs which you won't be able to count finish for about few hours before reaching the Tai Shan. Along the path, there were some stalls selling souvenirs, honey candies and beverages. We climbed till very tiring, and kept panting along the way. But this is all worthwhile when you managed to see the beautiful scenery right on top of the Tai Shan. While admiring the scenery, you could also take some pictures and bring back to SIngapore as a memory. Dont look down on this Tai Shan, many China people and tourists enjoy the scenery because in some countries, they do not have this wonderful Mountain. Well, of course when you want to walk down the stairs, must be very extra aware because the stairs are very steep which will make you fall easily. Before leaving this Tai Shan, we bought some souvenirs for our family members and friends. The things they sell are quite cheap and reasonable.

On 4th Nov 07, was my day to fly over to Shan Dong which is part of the China with 2 teachers and 19 students.
Principal and Vice-Principal came and sent us off. We felt honoured.
Soon, we had to check in and bid good-bye to our family members and principals.

The flight took about 6 hours to reach BeiJing airport. And once we reached, we ate our dinner at there before checking in to another plane which headed to Shan Dong.

When we reached, 3 tour guides hold onto the banner and welcome us to China. Sat coach to Tao Ran Hotel to rest and continued the journey on the next day.

From 4th Nov to 14th Nov, I went to Shan Dong which is also part of China with my schoolmates and 2 teachers, Mrs Tan and Ms Kong. These 10 days, I have learnt to be independent, and seeing the people daily living in China which is different from us in Singapore especially the food is salty which is not very healthy to us. Many of us did not get used to it.

For the 2nd day in the morning, we reached Li Cheng Er Zhong to have lessons with the China Students. Saw the teachers and students jogging despite of the cold weather. Wonder how they could take it?

We attended their lessons for 5 days. Every morning have to exercise. The teaching in China is different from the teaching in Singapore. The China students listened to their teachers attentively while we, the Singapore students can talk and joke around when the teachers are teaching. For those who are living far away from school, they have to stay in the hostel. One of the schooldays, we had a home-visiting. My group members were Amos and Nigel. Our buddy was Lu Jia. When we reached, their parents welcomed us warmly. They told us more about China which has increased our knowledge. They prepared many dishes which we could not finish it.

In their school, we had participated in many activities which most of the schools in Singapore do not have such as Chinese Orchestra, Chinese Knoting, Seal Carving and Chinese Traditional Poetry. Had fun with my schoolmates and China students as well. Besides that, we went to the Tai Shan and the home of Confucius as well.

On 12th Nov, we celebrated one of the tour guides, Sister Xiao Zhang's birthday. Her actually birthday was 13th Nov. All of us wrote her a birthday card with truth words on it. She was so touched that we could see her tears. On 14th Nov, it was our time to bid goodbye to our 3 tour guides. I cant bear to leave them. These 10 days, they tried their best to make us feel happy during the trip without failing and created so much troubles for the teachers too. I will never forget my experiences which I had learnt in China.
